MRTV App and Web: MRTV Launches Worldwide Mobile Satellite Data Application

Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information launched MRTV Media Worldwide Mobile Satellite Data Application Service, MRTV App & Web with a ceremony at the MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the launching ceremony of MRTV App and Web and delivered a speech.

At the event, the Senior General said that the media sector needs to educate and disseminate the knowledge about democracy and ideas to the people, to provide the idea and knowledge for young people to stand well on the path of education and it is also necessary to implement for improving socio-economic life of the people while upholding the interests of the state and the people.

The Senior General urged not to create instigation and fabrications that can cause unrest in the country while broadcasting fake news, false news, hate speeches and rumours and called on fulfilling the right to know the true news of the people. 

Then, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn reported on the efforts for media development including implementation of MRTV App and Web. Later, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing formally launched MRTV Media Worldwide Mobile Satellite Data Application Service, MRTV APP & Web. Then, the Union Minister presented honourary gift and airpod for using MRTV Application to the Prime Minister and so also commemorative gifts and airpods to the invited guests.

With the vision to inform, educate and entertain, Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information has launched MRTV App & Web to access pragmatic condition and actual situation of the State to the local and international community by utilizing the advanced communication technologies.

Since 2013, efforts were made to develop MRTV application but it could be applied as temporary Android Application. Now, the MRTV Media App is fully developed and accessible on both Android and iOS devices. The users can also install MRTV app on Laptop, Desktop, iPad, Note Pad in addition to mobile phones. Similarly, they can watch MRTV programs in a timely manner at the website of  www.mrtvmedia.com.

MRTV Media Application includes 11 categories such as Breaking News, Business News, Community News, Daily News so also Documentaries, Education,Entertainment, Agriculture,Health,Culture and Sports.

MRTV Media Application is broadcast by renting four satellites which are providing mobile services through the Earth Orbit, the application is accessible to 46 countries where Myanmar embassies are based.

Moreover, arrangements have been made to provide clear audio and visual transmission to 181 countries.

The application will expand its access for actual situations and true news of Myanmar in five languages not only Myanmar but also English, Spanish, French and German to reach out globally.

The launching of MRTV App and Web will be recorded as the new milestone for MRTV, historic media development in Myanmar, so also significant achievement during the State Administration Council.
