More than 1500 people participated in this year's historical reenactment of the Battle of Grolle, held in the small town of Groenlo in the east of the Netherlands. The Battle of Grolle was one of the most important battles in the so-called Eighty Years' War, in which the Spanish crown fought against the Dutch Provinces in the 17th century. A reenactment takes place in Groenlo every two years.
