Modi inaugurates Jodhpur Airport Terminal

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launched the modified regional airport development programme, UDAN scheme in Rajasthan, India.

With an allocation of 28,840 crore over the next ten years, the revamped scheme aims to accelerate the next phase of aviation-led development and further strengthen the vision of regional airport development programme by improving regional air connectivity.

Developed at a cost of 480 crore, the new terminal building spans more than 23,000 square metres and has the capacity to handle up to 20 lakh passengers annually. The new infrastructure is expected to provide a major boost to tourism, trade and employment generation across the region.
