Mineral Exploration: Geological survey and mineral exploration

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U San Oo visited the Department of Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration on April 24.

The Director-General of the Department reported on the ongoing works of geological research, mineral exploration, sampling, testing, and capacity studies.

The Union Minister emphasized that the mineral sector plays a crucial role in national development. He urged experts to expand exploration, enhance research capabilities, prioritize important mineral studies, adopt modern technology, and prevent illegal mineral extraction. The Union Minister also reviewed mineral maps, geological maps, and rock and mineral samples during the visit.
