Milk Feeding Programme: Soy Milk Nutrition Provided To School Children In Kyaukpadaung

Soy milk feeding programme of Shwe Parami Soy Milk Nutrition Foundation began on Saturday afternoon at No. 1 Basic Education High School in Kyaukpadaung of Mandalay Region. Union ministers Dr. Myo Thein Gyi and Dr. Win Myat Aye as well as many other officials attended the programme launching ceremony.

They observed the soy bean grinding mill donated to the Shwe Parami Soy Milk Nutrition Foundation - soy bean production process was explained. Marking the programme launching, the union ministers and officials planted bamboo saplings. In his address, Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi stressed milk is a key part of a healthy diet for kids.

Drinking milk helps with brain growth and development.

Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye called for participation in implementing children’s rights and health. School nutrition is part of the eight strategic schemes set up by the Social Welfare Department. In this ceremony, soy milk nutrition was provided for a total of 1,500 school children.
