Migration Affairs: Union Minister for Labour receives Chief Mission of IOM

Union Minister for Labour Dr Pwint San received Chief Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Myanmar Dragan Aleksoski at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

On the occasion, the Union Minister expressed his appreciations on the appointment of Dragan Aleksoski as the Chief Mission of IOM Myanmar. He said that Dragan Aleksoski served as the senior regional expert on emergencies and post-conflict for East Europe, South Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the IOM regional office based in Vienna, Austria.

As he has served in IOM since 1999 and has experienced on migration affairs and the functions of IOM, he will support a lot for Myanmar.

The meeting focused on implementation of the national 5-year work plan (2013-2017) on international labour migration management between the Ministry of Labour and IOM, ongoing implementation of five-year plan (2018-2022), the remaining works to be implemented, the skill necessary for entrepreneur ships by creating job opportunities in the regions with high migrations and knowledge sharing programs.
