








Memorial to Fallen Heroes (Nay Pyi Taw) hosted the 12th tribute-paying ceremony for fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the State security, rule of law and sovereignty throughout the years in Zeyathiri Township on Sunday.
Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo, Lt-Gen Phone Myat and military personnel of the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army), members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization, party leaders from various political parties, social organizations and Tatmadaw enthusiasts attended the event.
The attendees inaugurated the event with ceremonial ribbon cut, followed by national atheme singing, salute to State flag, tributes to fallen heroes and the recitation of the four-point oaths. Then, they observed a two-minute silence for fallen heroes, released balloons, symbolizing the heroes’ ascent to the heaven and freed doves for ensuring the perpetual peace.
They also laid wreaths for the fallen. Earlier in the morning, dawn meals and offertories were offered to the members of Sangha in honor of fallen Tatmadaw members, along with merit sharing in Thada Yone Monastery in PaukTaw village of Pobbathiri Township.
