Melaka’s million Chinese tourists goal

Malaysia’s historical city of Melaka aims to attract around one million tourists from China during Visit Melaka Year 2024.

Last year, the number of Chinese tourists visited the state was about 204-thousand out of a total of 8.63 million tourists.The Deputy State Executive Councilor for Tourism, Heritage, Arts, and Culture said the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China have stretched way back and need to be strengthened and enhanced continuously.

He said that during the welcoming ceremony for the world’s largest traditional Chinese sailing ship Fu Ning to Melaka at TanjungBruas Port jetty on Thursday.
