
At a meeting with the staff members from No (2) Industrial Training School (Mandalay) and Mandalay Region Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department by the Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, the principal of No (2) Industrial Training School clarified opening of trainings and plans for further expansion, plans for capacity building for the instructors and future arrangements.
Head of Mandalay Region Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department reported work implementations of the Department of Industrial Development, Department of Industrial Supervision, Boiler Inspection Department, Electricity Inspection Department and SME Department.
In response to the clarification and reports, the Union Minister said that If new CNC machines are to be added to the new work plan of Industrial Training School No(2) (Mandalay), it needs to be in line with the needs of factories in Mandalay Region and factories in the Ministry of Industry.
If new courses are to be expanded, it is necessary to collect and scrutinize the list of local needs and then expand them as required. It is necessary to clarify the Certificate of Competency-COC and Certificate of Proficiency-COP to the trainees. Mandalay Region Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department and No (2) Industrial Training School (Mandalay) should work together with a good linkage.
The Mandalay Region Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection must carry out its work under four laws, and moreover, it must also know and abide by sections (29) and (30) of the Constitution. The union minister explained the staff members with Power Point presentation about Quality Management (Quality of an Organization), CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management and Ministry of Industry’s Role in Industrial 4.0.
The union minister expressed words of thanks to the staff members for keeping the department owned machines and equipment undamaged during such a period and instructed to overcome the difficulties encountered with the cooperation and strength of unity among the staff.
