Meeting with Staff: MOIP Union Minister tours in Mon State

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing along with Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and officials inspected the issuance of National Registration Cards under Phase-3 of Pan Khin project at Mawlamyine Township on June 20.

There, the Union Minister toured around the issuance of 10 digits Unique ID numbers to the locals along with the collection of Biographic and Biometric datas with e-ID system of the locals who have already got NRC cards.

Then, the Union Minister cordially greeted the locals and made explanation on benefits of UID numbers and systamatic maintenance of the UID. At the Township Administration Office, the Union Minister toured around the office ensuring the systematic maintenance of documents and office equipment, fire safety measures as well as office supplies inventory records.

After hearing reports by the officials, the Union Minister coordinated the needs.   The Union Minister and party later proceeded to Mon State Government Office, met with the departmental officials. Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister stated that accurate voter lists plays fundamental role in upcoming multi-party democratic general elections in December, emphasizing the government’s efforts for holding the elections successfully in collaboration with related departments and organizations. 

In implementing working processes, officials and staff are urged to have security awareness and to become responsible officials for the country. Then, the Union Minister coordinated the needs on the reports of the officials and provided foodstuff and cash assistance to the staff.
