Meeting with Region/State Directors: MCRD UM held meeting with Region/State Directors

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein attended and delivered a speech at a meeting with Regions and States Directors from the Cooperatives Department and the Small-Scale Industrial Enterprises Department held via video conferencing on the morning of May 4 at the Union Minister's Office Meeting Hall.

During the meeting, Union Minister stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss increasing agricultural and livestock production through the cooperative system, ensuring systematic agricultural and livestock practices, and collaborating through the cooperative system with technical support from the Small-Scale Industries Department to transform raw agricultural products into high-value goods, as well as to achieve success in MSME cooperative initiatives.

He urged the officials to systematically collect accurate information based on the cooperative system, to encourage local farmers to adopt systematic agricultural and livestock practices, and to coordinate and collaborate effectively in order to improve agricultural and livestock productivity, enhance the socio-economic lives of rural populations, develop rural infrastructure, create job opportunities, and increase household incomes. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister, Regions and States Directors, and responsible officials clarified and discussed the measures to be undertaken in various sectors.

After that, the Union Minister provided supplementary instructions on the presentations made by the Regions and States Directors as needed, and directed them to work together in unity and solidarity for greater progress and success, and to formulate and submit practical work plans, it’s reported.
