Meeting with Personnel and families: MOD Union Minister visits Homalin Station

Union Minister for Defence, General Maung Maung Aye, met and warmly addressed officers, ranks and their families from the Homalin Station at the Homalin Station Hall on the morning of January 14.

First, the Union Minister explained that unity within the armed forces is of great importance and must be further strengthened. He urged family members to live together harmoniously and in unity, to build upon the existing spirit of solidarity and faithfully carry out assigned duties through collective cooperation.

He emphasized that officers and other ranks should uphold a spirit of brotherhood, women personnel should maintain a spirit of sisterhood, and that the entire battalion should regard one another with a sense of familial unity. He also stressed the importance of continuously training to enhance individual capabilities as well as unit-level capabilities, and called on all units and service members to understand, cultivate, and adhere to the five essential qualities required of every service member.

Subsequently, the Union Minister presented food supplies for the officers, ranks, and families of the Homalin Station. The Union Minister and party then warmly greeted the officers, other ranks, and their families.
