Meeting with Outstanding Students : Rakhine State CM met with selected outstanding students

A meeting with outstanding students and their supervising teachers for the 2025–2026 academic year, organized by the Rakhine State Government, was held on April 29 at Khine Thazin Hall in Sittwe. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo attended and delivered an address.

In his remarks, the Chief Minister said that systematically nurturing well-rounded, high-achieving students is a key program of both the State and the Ministry of Education to develop highly qualified human resources for the country. He noted that this project selects and trains academically excellent, healthy, and morally sound youth. He expressed heartfelt pride and congratulations to the students selected to represent Rakhine State as outstanding students for 2026 and wished them success in becoming capable and virtuous citizens in the future.

The outstanding students then performed the song “Youth Strength,” and the Deputy Director (Education) from the Rakhine State Education Office explained the planned trips to the outstanding student camps.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and his wife, the State Hluttaw Speaker Dr San Shwe, and officials presented honorary cash awards to the outstanding students and their supervising teachers.

A video of the song “Outstanding Student Strength,” sent by the Department of Basic Education, was then shown. The Chief Minister and party took commemorative group photos together with the students.

The Chief Minister and officials then warmly greeted attendees, including the outstanding students, it’s reported.
