Meeting with officials: VC met district and township level officials in Kawthoung

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets departmental officials, district and township level officials at the hall in Kawthoung on 1 May 2022.

Chairman of Kawthoung District Administration Body U Soe Aung reported on administrative, economic and social affairs of the region. 

Chief Minister of the region U Myat Ko gave a supplementary report. In his speech, the Vice-Senior General said due to political, administrative, economic and social progress, Bokpyin was upgraded to the district level.

The Prime Minister is striving for building the Union based on democracy and federal system as the political vision in addition to prosperity and food sufficiency of the State as the national aim. The year 2022 was set as the year of peace.

The Prime Minister invited all ethnic armed organizations on 22 April to hold the peace talks in an honest and transparent manner without any restriction.

Restoration of peace is crucial for holding a free and fair election. All service personnel need to abide by Section 41 of the Constitution 2008. They have to fulfill the needs of the people for serving the interests of the region and the State under the law and work procedures.

At the hall of the military station, the Vice-Senior General met with town elders and explained efforts of relevant ministries for gaining economic development, correct tax payment, production of value-added products, and preparations for improving the airports and seaports to serve the tourism industry and attended to the needs.

In Salonkyun Village on Zadetgyi Island, the Vice-Senior General presented nutritious foods for older Salon persons and rice and foodstuff for Salon families.

An official presented the commemorative gift of Salon ethnic to the Vice-Senior General who cordially greeted Salon older persons and Salon ethnics. The Vice-Senior General also paid homage to Zadetgyi Island Monastery Sayadaw Bhaddanta Dhammikasara.
