
The Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the members of Mon State administration council and departmental officials at the office of state administration council in Mawlamyaing and delivered a remark in the morning on Tuesday.
First, the chairman of Mon State administration council U Zaw Lin Tun clarified the implementations for the social, economic, health and regional development, status of COVID-19 vaccination and general matters and the union minister for transport and communications admiral Tin Aung San reported the arrangements that should be carried out for the development of Mawlamyaing jetty and upgrading works of Mawlamyaing airport.
Regarding with the reports, the commander in chief pointed out to reestablish Sittaung paper mill to fulfill the paper requirements, to grow the trees of raw materials for manufacturing papers, upgrading of Mawlamyaing airport and development of Mawlamyaing jetty to be considered. Mon State has the highest percentage of matriculation examination pass among the states from 1997 to 2020.
So, the study of university education should be encouraged. The local educated persons are needed for the regional development. It’s impossible to manufacture quality products and produce advanced agricultural and livestock breeding products without having proper education and knowledge. So, the agricultural institutes and livestock breeding institutes are opened and necessary skills and knowledge are being given.
Then, the SAC chairman gave the necessary instructions regarding with the land utilization, food security, agriculture, livestock breeding, producing import substituted products, generating hydro-power, Tatmataw’s efforts for the peace, the essences of the state constitution (2008), voting frauds occurred in the 2020 general election, efforts for the civil-military relation and pledged to move forward for the democracy and federal system based union. After the meeting, the SAC chairman, commander in chief cordially greeted the Mon State administration council members and departmental officials.
In the afternoon, the SAC chairman, commander in chief of defense services and member inspected the upgrading works of Yarminnya football ground in Mawlamyaing and instructed to carry out the works in line with the specifications and other necessaries.
