Meeting with officials: MoALI UM met with agricultural officials

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, who is in Loikaw to address the food security and regional development needs of Kayah State, met with state, district, and township-level officials from the agricultural sector at the meeting hall of the State Department of Agriculture Director's Office on January 15.

During the meeting, the directors of various departments under the ministry presented ongoing and future tasks for their respective sectors, and individual staff members submitted their requirements. In response to the presentations, the Union Minister provided solutions for the needs, issued necessary guidance, and distributed food provisions for the staff.

Subsequently, the Union Minister visited the Model Pig Farm in Yaynikan Village, Loikaw Township, being implemented under the state government's management. The responsible person explained the raising of meat pigs, breeding pig farming supported by the country’s economic promotion fund, and the provision of pig farming technology to local breeders. The Union Minister then inspected the farm. Regarding the presentations, the Union Minister provided guidance on the necessary actions.
