







Kachin State local committee members and technological experts of Ayeyawady Myitsone–Myitnya Basin hydropower project on Friday met with the leaders and youths from religious organizations, Shan ethnic groups, wards/villages administrators and locals at the sports stadium in Myintkyina Township.
Highlighting the fundamental role of electricity access for socio-economic growth of locals, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said hydropower projects are being implemented in every develop countries around the world for electricity distribution.
During the meeting, discussions were made on fundamental types of seismic waves, construction of water dams, benefits on usage of hydropower, hydropower projects of developed countries, conditions on emergence of river route from Ayeyawady River and preservation efforts as well as the source of river, electricity access, technology and development matters.
The experts answered the questions raised by the attendees and the Chief Minister gave closing speech. It’s learnt that a total of 950 locals attended the meeting.
