







The Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, met with the MSMEs entrepreneurs at the city hall in Magway to discuss the development of the manufacturing sector on August 18.
First, the Chief Minister of Magway Region gave a presentation on efforts to develop oilseed crops and other agricultural activities in the region, as well as progress in education, health, and social sectors. He also explained the work being done to develop MSMEs, including providing necessary investment loans, organizing MSME product exhibitions, and opening and operating industrial, agricultural, and livestock schools.
Next, local elders and MSME entrepreneurs from the Magway Region presented their needs regarding their businesses. The SSPC Chairman then provided additional remarks regarding the needs. Union Ministers U Min Naung, U Khin Maung Yi, and Dr. Charlie Than, then presented updates on the projects being implemented by their respective ministries.
The SSPC Chairman then gave guidance on the current political situation, the preparations for the multi-party democracy general election, and the necessary steps for the development of the region's education, health, economic, and agriculture sectors.
Next, the SSPC Chairman toured the exhibition of agricultural and livestock products from MSMEs. He viewed displays of local traditional medicines, handicrafts, textiles, and food products, and gave instructions to the officials based on their presentations.
Next, the SSPC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, along with other members, visited the Magway Myathalun Pagoda, the pride of Magway. They were greeted by the board of trustees. The Chairman and his wife paid their respects to the pagoda by offering flowers and water.
The Chairman then signed the pagoda's guest book. The Chairman and his wife donated funds for the pagoda's all-round renovation works, which were accepted by the board of trustees, who in turn presented them with a Dhamma gift. The Chairman and his wife then circumambulated the pagoda in a clockwise direction.
They paid their respects to the replica of the Buddha's tooth relic and the replica of the pagoda inside the Maha Atula Ransi hall. They also inspected the ongoing expansion of the pagoda's platform and gave instructions based on the presentations by the officials. Following this, the Chairman and the members drove along the strand road. They then arrived at the Kantha Mingala lake, where they toured the path around the lake in buggies.
