Meeting with Media : Acting President addresses Chinese Media during visit

During his visit to Chengdu of China, Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing responded to questions from Chinese media regarding the nature and outcomes of his working trip.

The Chinese media outlets included Chengdu Daily, Chengdu Business Daily, West China Metropolis Daily, Chengdu Television (CDTV), Sichuan Television (SCTV), China Central Television (CCTV), People’s Daily Online, and Xinhua News Agency.

The media inquired about a range of topics, including the Acting President’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025. They also discussed his attendance at the military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the global victory over fascism.

The discussions also focused on efforts to promote Myanmar-China economic cooperation, including business talks held in Tianjin and Chengdu. The topics covered investment, trade promotion, and strengthening bilateral friendship and collaboration.
