"The Ministry of Youth Affairs was reconstituted with the specific aim of effectively implementing comprehensive youth development projects.

The goal is to nurture and produce outstanding, virtuous citizens endowed with the Five Strengths, youth who are invaluable human resources and the reliable foundation for the country’s growth and success.” said the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and a 1974 former Luyechun outstanding student, Dr. Maung Thin, during a meeting and honorary address to the Grade 12 Luyechun (Outstanding Student) at the Royal President Hotel in Dekkhinathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw, Wednesday morning.

The Union Minister also noted that there are over 16 million young people in Myanmar between the ages of 15 and 35. He emphasized that the government is promoting the youth sector to ensure young people become "Good and Able" citizens by developing the Five Strengths such as physical, intellectual, moral, socials and economic strengths.

He described the attendees as the "strength of the nation" and vital human resources for nation-building. He remarked that the future development of the country and its ability to stand abreast with the international community depend significantly on the capabilities of the youth who will eventually take over national responsibilities.

The Union Minister urged the students to continue striving to remain "Outstanding and Virtuous" future leaders who are valuable to the nation. Following his remarks, the ceremony concluded after a group documentary photo session with the 2025–2026 academic year Grade 12 Luyechun students.
