Meeting in Homalin : Acting President meets with locals in Homalin

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with departmental personnel and townselders in Homalin of Sagaing Region on Sunday.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and officials reported on regional development works and successful holding of the election. Townslders expressed thanked for upgrading Homalin to a district status, and reported on the needs for development of the region, at which the Chief Minister, the Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers explained the work undertakings.

In his speech, the Acting President discussed for implementation of development works with added momentum, stressing on education promotion for human resource development, improvement of agriculture, livestock breeding, food sufficiency, water supply for irrigation and drinking purposes, power supply, boosting production and conducting market research.

He also called for cooperation of local community in combating the terrorist activities who commit illegal exploiting of natural resources and extortion from public. He also reiterated the successful holding of the election, and handover of state duty to the new government in third week of March.

He called for cooperation of local community in implementation for development of the region. The Acting President presented gifts to the departmental personnel and ethnic cultural associations. They then viewed the display of MSME products from Homalin District.
