
The Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr. Thet Khaing Win gave a remark at the COVID-19 prevention and treatment coordination meeting held at COVID-19 Command Center of the Ministry of Health and Sports via Video Conferencing, on Thursday.
At the meeting, the union minister said the townships where confirmed cases are increasing to impose a stay-at-home order. In some townships, even though the stay-at-home order have not been issued to abide by the COVID-19 directive, they are to thoroughly use COVID-19 preventive materials already distributed and to procure more when necessities when needed.
This includes providing oxygen cylinders for the use of patients in people’s hospitals, conducting coordination and seeking help from related departments to receive liquid oxygen, a systematic distribution by the hospitals of installed oxygen plants and implementing emergency installation of oxygen plants in other hospitals as quickly as possible, making arrangements to conduct tests on suspected patients as the Rapid Antigen Test (RDT) has been sufficiently distributed, etc.
The head officers of people’s health department from across the country reported matters regarding COVID-19 prevention and treatment.
