Meeting of CECCD : MSWRR UM delivered the opening speech

The meeting of the Committee for Early Childhood Care and Development was held at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on February 11.

Committee Chairman, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win attended the meeting and made a speech, stating that the Head of State had provided guidance that "the teaching and learning of children currently studying in Kindergarten and Grade 1 will improve further through the provision of relevant training courses by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement for primary school teachers."

Accordingly, the two ministries will jointly conduct four pre-service training courses for primary school teachers between January and April 2026, focusing on teaching methods in accordance with early childhood care and development techniques.

Follow-up cascade training courses will also be conducted subsequently. He urged collaborative efforts for the holistic development of children. Following this, the Deputy Ministers from the respective Ministries represented on the committee presented suggestions and discussions regarding the early childhood care and development sector.

The Deputy Director-General of the Department of Social Welfare reported on the implementation status of previous meeting resolutions. The Director-General then clarified ongoing activities and future work plans. The attending committee members engaged in collective discussions regarding the early childhood care and development sector and its related operational activities.
