Medical Supplies Imports: Daily Imports Continue to Fight against COVID-19

For the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures, the Ministry of Commerce is making efforts to ensure people have access to the essential medical supplies including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders.

The Ministry is arranging continuous importation on public holidays as well. On the 24th of October, anti-COVID-19 products were imported by five companies – the imported products via Chinshwehaw and Myawaddy border trade posts are 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen and 57 tonnes of masks.

Officials from the relevant departments are cooperating to facilitate and expedite the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the import process.
