Yemen's state-owned communications company said one of its broadcast stations in Sanaa was destroyed in overnight airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition. Tele Yemen is the state-owned monopoly that controls internet access in the country and is now run by the Houthi rebels who have held Yemen's capital since late 2014.

Footage taken on Monday showed extensive damage to the building and communications equipment to the station in the city's al-Jeraf district. Another neighboring building was also badly damaged. Tele Yemen director Mohammad al-Yamani said by "almost a miracle" internet services had been maintained despite the damage.

Last month internet connectivity was disrupted across Yemen after a reported Saudi-led coalition airstrike on a Tele Yemen building in the city of Hodeida. A Saudi-led coalition entered Yemen's war in 2015 to back its ousted government.
