Media role to be promoted: MoI opened capacity building training on media

The Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn addressed the opening ceremony of the training batch no (1) of documentary video shooting and editing, documentary photographing and news report writing held at the gathering hall of the Ministry of Information, Nay Pyi Taw on September 5.

In his address, the union minister pointed out that the role of the media is wide-ranging and it can promote and tarnish the image of the country. News writing, shooting and editing are interrelated.

This training is opened aiming at building capacity to take video record and edit the activities of the union level organizations and ministries as the news stories systematically, to present the news stories via online media in a systematic way and take documentary video record of the ceremonies and events and creation in line with the time.

The trainees need to implement fostering the image of the department through the media approach and share the skills regarding the media given by the training.

The training batch (1) of documentary video shooting and editing, documentary photographing and news report writing will be opened from 5th to 23rd September and are attended by 48 officers and staff from the ministry of border affairs, planning and finance, investment and foreign economic relations, legal affairs, religious affairs and culture, agriculture, livestock and irrigation, cooperative and rural development, transport and communications, labour, science and technology, construction and central bank of Myanmar.

During the training, systematic shooting of news, programs and documentary videos, news editing, editing headlines of Breaking News, Up Date News, news value and the basic points of news writing will be lectured, it’s learnt.
