Media and Information : Visiting Relay Stations and MRTV (Yangon)

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin visited the Relay Station of Myanma Radio and Television in Taungoo on Friday. He instructed officials to promote public participation in the regional development efforts by the government through media sector.

The Union Minister also observed the broadcast tower and satellites, generator room, transmission of TV and FM channels, and maintenance for quality broadcast. The Union Minister later met with the officers and staff of the departments under the ministry and instructed guidelines for work implementation.

He then oversaw the mobile libraries and documentary photos, display of books and periodicals, library, miniature museum, child reading corner, historical photos of Taungoo in over 100 years ago, work implementation of Community Centre and Computer Training Room.

In Bago, the Union Minister and party inspected the installation of tower and satellites at the Relay Station and broadcasting of TV and FM channels. In meeting with officials and staff, the Union Minister instructed necessary measures.

He also viewed the display of posters, library, child reading corner and miniature museum. On arrival at the Myanma Radio and Television in Yangon, the Union Minister cheered the production of ASEAN songs with the accompaniment of Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra.
