Mechanized Farming : Demonstration on locally produced paddy planter

A demonstration of 8 rows paddy transplanter was held in a agricultural research field in Nay Pyi Taw Zeyathiri Township on 16th August. Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended the event and made insepction.

During the inspection, the Union Ministers coordinated with the relevant officials on fulfilling requisite assistance for technoloogy transferring to MSMEs in order to produce necessary agricultural machine and equipment and distribution of spare parts of the machine for maintenance matters.

The 8-row rice transplanter produced by Myanma Farm Machinery Factory (Inngon)  uses 5 horsepower engine and can plant an acre of land between one and a half hour and 1 hour and 45 minutes.  Necessary arrangements are underway to produce the 8-row transplanters and distribute them to the farmers at reasonable prices.
