In recent times, the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar has experienced significant fluctuations, impacting the operations of numerous businesses. According to the State Bank of Viet Nam, the Dong has depreciated by 4.9% against the US dollar since the beginning of the year, which is still deemed acceptable.

US dollar interest rates remain high, exerting pressure on the exchange rate. However, the State Bank has recently made adjustments, such as increasing interbank interest rates. The exchange rate stability is bolstered by robust Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) disbursements. In the last four months, FDI disbursements hit 6.28 billion USD, a 7.4% increase from last year.
