Mass vaccination events were held simultaneously in 15 locations across Puerto Rico on Saturday as virus infections remain on the rise and a new school semester approaches.

In Fajardo municipality, eastern Puerto Rico, the event was held at the Tomás Dones Coliseum, where first and second doses of Pfizer were offered to children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years and Pfizer booster doses for anyone aged 16 years and older.

Three quarters of Puerto Rico's population is already fully vaccinated, according to Johns Hopkins University.
