Mara Vijaya Buddha Image: 90-degree has been raised up on Sunday

The Mara Vijaya Buddha Image is being conveyed onto the Yadana Throne for 90-degree as of 9:00 pm on Sunday. The conveyance of the Buddha Image commenced in the morning of January 26th with the auspicious ceremony in the compound of Buddha Park in Dekhina Thiri Township of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was graced by the Sayadaws and Membersof the Sangha led by Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Bamaw Monastery Sayadaw of Mandalay Dr. Bhadanda Kumara Bhivamsa and Chancellor ofSitagu International Buddhist Academy Chairman of ShweKyin Nikaya SitaguSayadaw Dr BhadandaNyanissara, along with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administrative Council Prime Minister Senior GeneralMin Aung Hlaing and wife, and well-wishers.

The Buddha Image is being conveyed onto the Yadana Throne with the use of steel tower crane, and 90-degree of the Buddha Image has been raised up as of 9:00 pm on Sunday. The process took a total of 72 hours and 50 minutes.

At present, the Buddha Image and its steel cover cage which have a total of 2,367.5 ton, is being raised up by 8 steel tower cranes, and the process for conveying of the Buddha Image onto the Yadana Throne will be continued according to the procedures.
