Maldives’ Muizzu establishes company to lead Hankede tourism project

Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has established a new State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) to oversee the Hankede Integrated Tourism Development Project in Addu Atol.

The company named Addu Hankede Development Corporation Limited will lead the planning, construction, and execution of the multi-concept integrated resort development. It also aims to expand tourism capacity and distribute its economic benefits equitably to local residents.
