Lula holds talks with UN Secretary General Guterres ahead of G20 Summit

Brazil's President Lula da Silva held talks with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, as world leaders prepare to gather in the city for the G20 Summit.

The Brazilian President and the Secretary-General discussed the G20 Social, the agenda of the G20 Summit, the progress of COP29, and the ongoing climate and environment negotiations in Baku, Azerbaijan, which are taking place in parallel with the G20 activities.  The summit will see heads of state and government, including US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, discuss coordination on international economic issues.
