Livestock and Agriculture: Chief Minister inspects poultry zone and model farmland project

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, along with regional officials, visited the poultry farming zone and mechanized farmland project near Shar Pin Hla village in Magway Township on Friday.

The poultry zone covers 48 acres with 12 farmers raising 3,000 layer chickens each. About 70% of the project has been completed so far.

The model farmland project spans 150 acres and is being developed under proper land planning, with irrigation channels, roads, and farm plots designed for efficient agriculture. Officials reported that the project aims to boost local meat supply and reduce unsafe meat imports.

The Chief Minister instructed to complete the projects as soon as possible, ensuring safety standards and emphasized the importance of year-round cultivation and productivity for regional agricultural growth.
