Lesson Planning Workshop: Enhancing the critical thinking and analytical skills of students

A Lesson Planning Workshop was conducted at ThiriYadanar Hall of Mandalay University of Foreign Languages (MUFL) in Aung MyayTharzan Township on Thursday morning with the attendance by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Region Government Members, Rector, Pro-Rector and other academic personnel from Yangon and Mandalay Universities of Foreign Languages.

The workshop was held in cooperation of Yangon and Mandalay Universities of Foreign Languages, intending to enhance the critical thinking and analytical skills of students. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed that learning languages plays a vital key in making international connections.

He highlighted the need of second language study to truly communicate with others. The Chief Minister added that students’ personality is needed to uplift in all aspects in addition to learning technical literacy to train the young generation. He expressed his belief that the purpose of conducting workshop will probably have positive results for the education development.

After that, the Rector of Yangon University of Foreign Languages reported the aims of holding the workshop, the cooperation between MUFL and YUFL and sharing workshop result to students. During the workshop, the topic titled "Empowering Educators: Navigating Challenges to Create Student-Centered Classroom" was discussed by the Rector of YUFL. This was followed by the sector-wise discussion of 15 language departments of two universities.
