Legal Research: MoLA Legal Research Team Held A Coordination Meeting

The coordination meeting of Legal Research Team was held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on September 8 with the presence of Union Minister for Legal Affairs Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo.

At the meeting, the Union Minister Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said the legal research is needed to be strong in Myanmar so that the correct legal perspective and knowledge prevail for the rule of law, the ministry of legal affairs initiated the development of legal research work targeting as strategic plan since 2016 and the team with 71 members is implementing it putting effort effectively, It’s planed to publish research journals and collections by collecting the written research papers, the challenging legal problems should be prioritized in the research, it’s learnt that the first leg of research papers have been written, the standard operating procedures for the legal research team have been compiled, the legal research team needs to compile the legal research papers to facilitate people’s trust on the ministry of legal affairs and it’s to be an organization of role model, to render the quality legal service, the rule of law to be developed and strong, justice to be accessible by the people and support to be the qualified legal officers with moral obligation.

Also present at the meeting were the deputy minister deputy attorney general U San Lwin, directors general, deputy directors general, directors, members of legal research team and the officials from legal research unit, it’s reported.
