Law Amendment: Myanmar Historical Commission Law, 2018

The State Administration Council amended the Myanmar Historical Commission Law (2018).

The announcement on the 18th of October states that the State Administration Council enacts this law according to Article 419 of the State Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
This law shall be called the Amendment of the Myanmar Historical Commission Law, 2018. The Myanmar Historical Commission Law, 2018 must be replaced (a) Myanmar Historical Commission shall be formed, with a total of no more than 20 permanent members consisting of Myanmar historians, intellectuals, professionals, researchers, officials from departments and related organizations (b) Part-time members, with a total of no more than 15, including senior historians who can provide necessary ideas for historical research and leadership, and officials from departments and organizations that can provide assistance, shall be added as necessary (c) Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary, and Joint Secretary from the permanent members formed under sub-section (a) shall be appointed at the same time (d) The Commission formed under sub-sections (a) and (b) may be amended if necessary.
