Launching of Dip. Acc.: UAG delivered the opening address

The Myanmar Accountancy Council (MAC) officially launched the Diploma in Accountancy (Part I) Online Course Batch 45 on February 9 via a hybrid system at the Navarat Hall of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Union Auditor General Chair of Myanmar Accountancy Council, Dr. Khin Naing Oo, delivered the opening address stating that the Diploma in Accountancy serves as more than just a foundational course, it is a strategic gateway for aspiring professionals to pursue the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification and progress toward achieving the prestigious ASEAN CPA designation.

Dr. Khin Naing Oo urged trainees to focus on the practical application of their studies to their professional lives. She further highlighted the necessity of lifelong learning, encouraging participants to stay abreast of evolving global accounting standards to improve the efficiency and integrity of financial operations within their respective departments.

Following the Chairperson’s address, the official in charge of the Advanced Training School of Accounting and Auditing (Nay Pyi Taw) presented the technical details of the curriculum. The training program has enrolled a total of 504 trainees, comprising 45 participants from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union and 459 participants representing 25 different Ministries and Government Organizations. The comprehensive online program is scheduled to span seven and a half months, having commenced on January 19, 2026, with a projected conclusion date of August 31, 2026.
