Latin America Protests Against Gender-Based Violence

Protests erupted across Latin America on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with demonstrations in Chile, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Honduras, and Venezuela.

Activists rallied to raise awareness about gender-based violence, following a UN report revealing one woman is killed by a partner or relative every 10 minutes globally in 2023. The protests called for stronger measures to protect women and end femicide and domestic abuse across the region.
