LANDSLIDE VICTIMS: ONE MINERS KILLED BY A LANDSLIDE AT A JADE MINING SITE

One miner was killed by a landslide at a jade mining site in Phakant Township in Kachin State at about 1:30 pm on 20 November, according to Phakant Information and Public Relation Department.
About 80-feet height slope suddenly collapsed onto three miners. One miner died on the spot and two others sustained injuries.

The two survivors could be rescued by the villagers in time. All three landslide victims are the residents of Hmawsisa Village.

The dead body and other two injured survivors were transported to Lone-Khin Station Hospital by Thingaha philanthropic association, it’s learnt.
