Kayah State Day: Senior General Sends Message on 70th Anniversary

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a message of greetings on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Kayah State Day falling on the 15th of January 2022.

Through his message, the Senior General wished all Kayah ethnic nationals mental and physical well-being, prosperity and auspiciousness. Karreni State was officially designated as Kayah State beginning from the 15th of January 1952. The date on which “Karenni State” was called “Kayah State” was designated as Kayah State Day.

Kayah State is in possession of honesty, friendliness, cultures and traditions as well as mountains, streams, natural beauty and natural resources. It’s important for the Kayah ethnic nationals to cooperate with the government for stability, development and peace in Kayah State.

Also, the Senior General highlighted the five-point road map and nine objectives of the State Administration Council and expressed his belief that all ethnic nationals would cooperate more for stability of the nation and peace process. Unity can build a peaceful country while cooperation is necessary to build a federal democratic union.

The Senior General concluded his message urging all nationals to build mutual trust and understanding as well as to cooperate and make efforts for regional and socioeconomic development of the people in the country.
