Kathina Robe Offering : PM attended MoNP’s Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony

The 2025 Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony of the Ministry of National Planning was held in the morning on November 3, at the Shwe Yelin  Dhamma Hall of Masoeyein  monastery in Pyinmana Township.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister and Union Minister for the Ministry of National Planning, U Nyo Soe and his wife Daw San San Aye, the Deputy Minister, departmental officials, and staff families. At the ceremony, the venerable Sayadaws led by the Presiding Sayadaw of Masoeyein monastery Baddanta Revata  attended the ceremony and the congregation observed the Five Precepts administered by the Masoeyein monastery Sayadaw and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the membes of Sangha.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister and his wife offered Kathina robe and donation items to Masoe Yain Monastery Sayadaw, as well as to the Sayadaw at Aung Mingalar Monastery, which is a Kathina Robe accepting monastery. Following this, the Deputy Minister and departmental officials also individually offered Kathina Robe and donation items to the venerable Sayadaws.

Subsequently, the congregation at the ceremony took to the Kathein Anumodana sermon delivered by the Masoeyein Monastery Sayadaw and poured water to share merits for the donations. They also offered day meals to the venerable Sayadaws, it’s learnt.
