






Under the leadership of the Magway Region Government, the 38th Collective Maha Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony, organized by relevant departments and donors, was held in the morning on November 3rd, at the Buddhist Abbot Training Center compound in Magway Region. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and his wife, officials, and donors attended the event.
First, the Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and the attendees received the Five Precepts from the Presiding Sayadaw of the Magway Township Sangharama Monastery. They then listened to the Paritta suttas recited by the members of Sangha. Following this, the Magway Region Chief Minister and senior officials offered the Kathina robes, accompanying offertories trees, and other donated items to the venerable Sayadaws.
Subsequently, an Anumodana discourse was listened to, and the act of pouring water was performed to share the merits of all the offerings. A Day meal was then offered to the invited venerable Sayadaws.
The ceremony, where the Magway Region Government takes the lead and relevant departments and donors collectively offer Kathina robes, accompanying offertories trees, and other donated items, is held annually as an unbroken tradition. This year marks the 38th occasion. It has been learned that the total value of the offered items and donated funds at this Collective Maha Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony amounted to 108.185 million Kyats.
