Kachin State Day : Commemorative celebration in Myitkyina

The 78th Kachin State Day celebration was held in a grand scale on Saturday at the lawn of Kachin State Government Office.

Union Minister for Ministry (1) of the President’s Office U Tin Aung San attended the ceremony, and read out the message sent by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace  Commission Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing in commemoration of the 78th Kachin State Day. The ceremony featured with the commemorative speech and donation of MRTV DTH satellites and DVB T2 Set Top Boxes to the state government and Northern Command families.

Then, the Manaw Festival continued and the Union Minister and party, the Chief Minister, officials and attendees joyously participated in Manaw dance. The Union Minister and party also made a tour to the commemorative exhibitions, showcasing MSME products, regional products and jewellery.

Then, the Union Minister attended the Honorary Award Presentation Ceremony marking the 78th Kachin State Day at the State Stadium. At the ceremony, State Chief Minister extended congratulatory speech and the honorary awards and certificates were presented to outstanding individuals in respective fields.

In the evening, the Union Minister and party attended the commemorative dinner reception at the lawn of State Government Office. The Union Minister had a dinner and enjoyed Kachin traditional music and dance performances together with the attendees.
