Judicial Affairs: 9th Meeting of Council of ASEAN Chief Justices

Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo attended the 9th Meeting of the Council of ASEAN Chief Justices (CACJ) organized by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia through video conferencing on Thursday.

At the meeting, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia as the host made a welcome speech. Also, Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo, Chief Justices of ASEAN, Heads of Delegate and ASEAN Secretary-General attended the Meeting and delivered speeches.

This meeting focused on discussions on the reports submitted by the Working Group for ASEAN Judiciaries Portal (AJP), Facilitating Service of Civil Processes within ASEAN, Case Management and Court Technology, Judicial Education and Training, Cross-Border Disputes Involving Children, ASEAN + Meetings, Study Group on Future Work of CACJ.

The Union Chief Justice also presented the updated measures taken by the Myanmar Judiciary on Covid-19 Effects and Solutions. In the meeting, all the members of the CACJ approved to issue the Jakarta Declaration.
