Jordan Prime Minister participates in a session for the Lower House

The Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr. Jafar Hassan, participated in a session for the Lower House on February 12, giving details of King Abdullah’s visit to the United States. 

Hassan emphasized at the beginning of the session that the Jordanian king was the first Arab leader to meet with President Trump to discuss developments in the region, especially the Gaza issue and the future of the two-state solution, to counter ideas recently proposed by Washington. 

Dr. Jafar Hassan stated that the King clearly confirmed that Jordan’s position on displacement is clear, as there will be no settlement or displacement at its expense. The meeting confirmed to the American administration the Arab role and the importance of adopting an Arab plan to rebuild Gaza for Palestinians and provide them with aid without forcibly displacing people from their land, which would threaten the entire region, the Prime Minister added.
