The Kamo Aquarium in northeastern Japan known for its large collection of jellyfish is set to welcome visitors back on April 1st.

The Aquarium had been closed for renovations that began in December, and wrapped up in late February. The jellyfish zone has grown by about 50 percent, and the number of species on display has climbed from roughly 80 to around 100. Six new tanks, each two and a half meters across, allow visitors to watch the jellyfish drifting through the water. There is also a research area, where visitors can use magnifying glasses and microscopes to examine tiny jellyfish up close.
