Japan's industry minister tells Fukushima Daiichi operator to ensure safety

Japan's Industry Minister Saito Ken has instructed the operator of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant to take through measures to ensure safety following a series of water leak incidents at the plant. Minister Saito Ken met with the President of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Kobayakawa on Wednesday.

Kobayakawa offered an apology for causing great concern and he takes them very seriously. The minister urged the utility to conduct an analysis to determine whether the incidents had anything in common. He also called for the use of digital technology to prevent mistakes.
