Japan, the United States and South Korea held a trilateral meeting Tuesday to discuss the issue of North Korea.
The three-way talks came a day after the Pyongyang's announcement for successful test of new long-range cruise missiles, suggesting advancement of its advancement of military capabilities.
Among participants were U.S. President Joe Biden's Special Representative for North Korea Sung Kim, Japan's Director-General for Asian and Oceania Affairs Bureau Takehiro Funakoshi, and South Korea's Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Noh Kyu-duk.
