Japan says to stay alert and keep monitoring over North Korean situation

Japan will continue to stay alert and monitor the situation on the Korean peninsula, the government's top spokesman said on Wednesday.

Although the government's top spokesman didn't elaborate, he said Japan has a great interest regarding the North Korean situation and pledged it will continue to work closely with the U.S. and South Korea on the issue.
